A Bit about Emily
The sweet sound of Emily Grace will certainly give you something to smile about. Her classic folk sound coupled with clever lyrics truly showcases her eclectic talent.
Hailing from Chattanooga, TN, Emily’s sound is simple but edgy. Her lyrics are oftentimes tongue and cheek as her songs capture contemporary social issues – like her tracks Barbies and Starbucks. Her voice is reminiscent of Norah Jones and Jewel, strong and clean, full bodied and emotionally charged. Her rhythms are easy on the ears and have a comforting vibe that keeps her audiences captivated.
Currently a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Emily has performed her soulful music throughout the Tennessee area. She first began gigging at 14 when she attended a Songwriting Battle of the Bands Contest held at Rocketown in Nashville. She has opened for Chris Thile of Nickel Creek and country band Carolina Rain. She is constantly performing at music venues, clubs and VIP parties and her songs have garnered radio play on college stations.
Emily has recorded two albums, the first entitled Almost in Love and the second Private Property. She is currently working on new material in which she will continue to fine-tune her fresh sound.
When asked what sets her music apart Emily says, “People like to be happy and I radiate with positive energy. I am fortunate to be able to do what I love and I want to share it with people who live in the world between dreams and reality.”
